I am currently working at Meta as a Character Technical Artist.

Professional experience

I previously worked at Dreamworks Animation as a Production Software intern in FX/CFX. I researched and developed technologies for visual effects, notably I have been redesigning in C++ a proprietary hair simulator incorporated in Houdini. I collaborated with production artists to test and implement several character FX software. My last projects were the development of a new drawing tool and a wrap deformer tool used by several production departments. I used Python, C++ and procedural nodes.

Before that, I worked as a Technical Director in animation at Mikros Animation studio - Technicolor group, where I solved production-oriented problems and implemented new features for the Paramount production ‘The Tiger’s Apprentice’. It was an amazing opportunity to help artists on a real production. I mainly worked in Python on the Maya API.

It was complementary from my internship as Research Assistant in computer animation at the INRIA Laboratory where I was committed to bringing VR into previs animation, with more of a research-oriented approach. For this project, I used Unity 3D and C#.

Before that, I was a teaching assistant for undergraduate students in mathematics, physics and computer science at Janson de Sailly . I also worked as a project manager in bioinformatics and web development at IntegraGen on a DNA analysis software for cancer patients. I worked more recently as a research assistant at the Columbia CGUI Lab on a project to develop a perceptually-enabled task guidance in AR.

Academic background

I graduated with an MS degree in Computer Science from Columbia University. I also have a diplôme d'ingénieur (Master Level) from Ecole Polytechnique and a 3D character animator degree from Gobelins Paris.

I studied mathematics and computer science at Ecole Polytechnique and Columbia University. I specialized in computer graphics with courses such as computer animation, image synthesis, computational geometry or computer vision.

I also have an artistic degree in character animation from Gobelins where I studied the software Maya and its use in 3D animation.

I believe that this double degree in science and art helps me a lot to work in this field.
